Browse Greenacres Street Directory

To search Greenacres streets by address, begin with the county parcel roll, then compare the mapped lot with deeds and city permit files. The Greenacres street directory is best treated as a chain of official sources, since an owner's tax-mail address may differ from the home being searched and a parcel owner is not always an occupant. County maps help define the exact lot and nearby parcels. City records add work permits and code history. Older directories may reveal past households, while protected addresses and private household details stay outside the public trail.

Walk a Greenacres Street by Address

A whole-street search works best when each Greenacres address is tied to its parcel before any name is accepted. The Palm Beach County Property Appraiser Public Access system, called PAPA, supplies the assessed owner, property location, municipality, mailing address, parcel number, legal description, homestead indicator, and map link. That is ownership evidence, not a list of all people inside a home. Condominiums need a unit filter, and one house number can cover more than one legal lot.

The street directory trail then moves from land records to records that can add people or dates. Keep the 17-digit parcel control number, or PCN, beside every note. It remains useful when an address was typed in a different form or when the postal label does not match Greenacres city limits.

  1. Enter the service address in PAPA Advanced Search. Save the situs address, owner, PCN, legal description, and book/page link.
  2. Open the parcel in the countywide map. Click adjoining lots or use the box tool to follow the street-by-street pattern.
  3. Use the current deed's book and page in Landmark Official Records. Compare its grantee and legal description with the parcel card.
  4. Check city permit, inspection, code, and lien files by service address. A contractor or applicant is not proof of residence.
  5. For an older household, ask the county library whether a reverse directory covers the address and year. Confirm each find with deeds or census records.

Greenacres Street Directory Fields

PAPA is the strongest official starting point for a Greenacres street directory because it accepts both a single address and broad street criteria. Owner names may be partial and should be entered last name first. Omitting a house number can support a named-street search where the interface accepts it. Municipality and ZIP filters help remove parcels with similar street names elsewhere in Palm Beach County.

Results can be filtered, printed, mapped, or exported to CSV or Excel. The visible fields put location and mailing address side by side. That contrast is one of the best official clues that an owner receives tax mail somewhere else, but even a matching address and homestead mark does not prove who is present now.

Map Greenacres Street Parcels

The PAPA Countywide Map changes a line of addresses into a lot-by-lot view. Search by address, owner, or PCN, select the parcel, and open Property Info. A map click selects one lot. Shift-click selects several adjacent lots. The Tools & Reports panel adds box selection, a distance buffer, and an Excel report, while aerial, school-zone, and other information layers provide context.

The official PAPA parcel map shows the source interface used to browse Greenacres by street.

The screenshot helps locate map controls, but the live parcel layer should be used for current owner and boundary data. A road centerline is not a parcel edge, and an apartment site may be a single owner parcel with many private occupants.

Greenacres Records Keyed by Street

No one source answers every by-address question. Palm Beach County holds the land and tax chain. Greenacres holds municipal work and compliance files. Elections records have a separate public/private split, and the authenticated My Status page is not a whole-street browser. Historical directory material must be checked volume by volume.

The parcel number connects the property roll, map, tax account, legal description, and often the deed. The service address then connects city files. Names in voter or old directory material should be recorded as dated entries, not assumed to describe the current household.

Greenacres Streets in Landmark Records

Landmark Official Records adds the recorded chain behind each Greenacres lot. Search modes include party name, document type, case number, book/page, parcel ID, instrument number, legal description, record date, and marriage. A physical address may also be indexed, but legal descriptions and PCNs are safer because street text is not consistent across all instruments.

Open the acquisition deed linked from PAPA and compare the grantee, parcel or legal description, and date. A deed is the transfer instrument. The grantee receives the interest and the grantor conveys it. Liens, satisfactions, mortgages, notices of commencement, plats, and judgments may add context, but none is a list of all residents.

Eligible images filed since January 1, 1968 can be viewed and printed free. If an older reference lacks an online image, use microfilm in Main Courthouse Room 4.2500, request copies from the Records Service Center, email ORWEB@mypalmbeachclerk.com, call 561-355-2932, or mail P.O. Box 4526, West Palm Beach, FL 33402-4526. Standard copies are $1 per page, certification is $2 per instrument, and clerk research is $2 per year, name, or legal description.

Greenacres Address Permit Layers

Greenacres moved current permitting, code compliance, and business tax receipts into MyGovernmentOnline in 2026. The legacy ePermit portal remains part of the address trail for older work. Its public search accepts either permit type plus permit number, or a service address, never both. No public account is required. Results link permit numbers to details and inspection history.

The current Greenacres permit instructions explain which submissions now use the new system.

The current instructions matter because revisions and older files can follow a different route. When the live system does not return a known project, ask the Building Department to check Laserfiche at 561-642-2059 or 561-642-2062.

The legacy Greenacres ePermit search remains the documented historical channel.

That screen shows why the service address must be kept in its period form. Permit applicants, contractors, and owners named in a file describe the work, not necessarily the people living at the parcel.

Greenacres Street Code Records

Code and lien material fills gaps left by deeds. The Code Compliance Division handles property-maintenance and ordinance matters, while a municipal lien search compiles open permits, code violations or cases, and solid-waste balances for one address. The city publishes a $90 charge and a one-to-three-business-day turnaround. It complements PAPA and Landmark; it is not a title search.

The Greenacres Code Compliance page identifies the official address-record channel.

Greenacres Street Record Terms

Four labels prevent most address errors in the Greenacres street directory. Record them exactly as the custodian displays them, especially when a house number appears to cover two lots or when a postal city differs from the municipality.

Parcel
A mapped unit of land assessed under one PCN. One street address can involve more than one parcel.
Situs address
The physical location assigned to the assessed parcel. It differs from the owner's tax-mail address.
Plat
A recorded map that divides land into blocks, lots, roads, and easements.
Criss-cross directory
A directory arranged by street and house number instead of by surname.

A Greenacres planning example at 205 Jennings Avenue shows the issue: a 1951 house involved two platted lots without unity of title or control and a later request for a separate PCN. One house number was not enough. The legal description and each linked PCN had to stay with the search.

Greenacres Streets Across Boundaries

Greenacres grew from 263 acres at incorporation to 3,724.8 acres, and major annexations in the 1990s made the city outline more square. Postal city, ZIP, census place, and municipal limits can still disagree. A property with a Lake Worth mailing label may lie in Greenacres, while another address commonly called Greenacres may fall outside city permit jurisdiction.

Use PAPA's municipality field and legal description to decide which office holds the file. The city also changed its name from “City of Greenacres City” to “City of Greenacres” after a 1990s referendum. Older plans and records may sit under the former name. For past occupants, the Greenacres city directory collections explain the countywide and “Greenacres City” search variants.

Limits of Greenacres Street Records

A tax-roll owner is not proof of every person occupying a home. Renters and household members may never appear in a deed or parcel card. Apartments usually identify the parcel owner, not each private resident. A homestead indicator can support an owner-occupancy inference, but it is not a live household roster. Utility customer data and motor-vehicle address data are not substitutes.

Florida voter-registration records are generally public, yet Social Security numbers, driver-license or state-ID numbers, signatures, and protected addresses remain confidential. The county's My Status tool requires individual authentication and cannot be used as a street directory browser. Florida's Address Confidentiality Program and other exemptions can also shield an address.

Lawful use. Greenacres address records support family history, parcel research, civic checks, and personal safety. Never use them to stalk, harass, threaten, or expose a protected household.

When a portal returns no match, check spelling, unit number, postal label, former city name, and parcel boundaries. Then use the documented counter, phone, mail, library, or public-record request route. A blank web result means only that the online search did not find the record.
